Maritime Logistics Community News : December 2008
4 NAVY SUPPLY NEWSLETTER SPRING 2008 From the Editor’s desk Welcome to the first edition of the Navy Supply Newsletter since mid- 2007. In this edition we have a wide selection of articles. From the adventures of the Supply Department of HMAS PARRAMATTA in Charade and Karaoke Champions of North East Asia, to celebrating the successes of our cooks and stewards at Salon Culinaire—the Restaurant of Champions’ Competition, I am sure you will enjoy reading this edition. The efforts of all authors are very much appreciated and I would like to challenge you all out there to put pen to paper and submit something of your own. After all this is our newsletter and provides the perfect opportunity to share our professional experiences with the wider Supply community. As the Head of Supply Community moves to Sydney in the New Year, SBLT Amanda Frape will be taking over the role of Editor from January 2009. I would like to thank the previous editors of the Newsletter whose hard work over the previous year have contributed to the compilation of the Newsletter. I am always interested in hearing about people in our community being recognised and rewarded for their efforts, and also about other events and activities that our people are involved in. If you have something of interest you would like to share, provide a comment on the articles or give any suggestions for improvement, then I encourage you to send in an article, preferably with a high resolution (at least 300 DPI) detached picture to: The Editor Navy Supply Newsletter Level 9, Defence Plaza Sydney 270 Pitt Street SYDNEY NSW 2000 Or email: NavySupply.Newsletter@defence.gov.au As the end of the year is fast approaching, I wish you and your families all the best for Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2009.
